Nepal played 3 ODI cricket matches against UAE on 2019 January. Nepal won the series by 2-1. On January 25, Nepal dismissed just for 113 runs and lost the match by 3 wickets while Nepali bowlers performed very well and tried to defend the low score but were not enough. In the second match on January 26, Nepal scored the defendable 242 runs and took revenge of earlier day restricting UAE just for 97 runs. Rohit Kumar Paudel became youngest players to score fifty on ODI cricket at the age of 16 years and 146 days beating the record of Sachin Tendulkar and Shahid Afridi.

The last ODI or 3rd ODI was the series decider after 1-1 level in the first two matches. Nepal started with very good bowling at the beginning with 9/2 in first 9 overs but failed to control the runs at the end. UAE were 100 runs for 4 at 34 overs and scored 154 runs from last 16 overs with 55 runs in last 18 balls and made a total of 254 runs after losing 6 wickets. CP Rizan scored 87 runs and Mohammad Boota scored 59 not out off 31 balls and made the UAE's respected total. However, Nepal chased down the target of 255 runs amazingly. Nobody had believed that Nepal could chase it but Nepal skippers managed the required run rate from the beginning despite wicket falling certainly.
