When is Maha Shiva Ratri celebrated? What is Shivratri Festival?
Maha Shiva Ratri is celebrated on Krishna Chaturdashi of Falgun Month by Hindu people in Nepal and India. During Shivratri Parba (Festival), people worship the god SHIVA Vagwan or Mahadev. People believe that god Mahadev will help and stay with the poor, poverty, weak people from this day. So people manage to stay clean and do fasting on this day and go to temple and worship the lord SHIVA with milk and Solanaceae (Dhaturo) and Bel patra.

During Mahashiva ratri, all shiva vagwan mandir (temple) will be crowded from the early morning to late night.
